Sam Nunn Co-Chairman and Former Chief Executive Officer Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) Sam Nunn has been a Director of The Coca-Cola Company since 1997. Mr. Nunn is Co-Chairman of Nuclear Threat Initiative, a position he has held since 2001.  He served as Chief Executive Officer of the Nuclear Threat Initiative from 2001 to June 2017. The Nuclear Threat Initiative is a nonprofit organization working to reduce the global threats from nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. He is Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He served as a member of the U.S. Senate from 1972 through 1996.  He previously served as a Director of Chevron Corporation from 1997 to 2011, Dell Inc. from 1999 to 2011 where he served as Lead Director, General Electric Company from 1997 to April 2013 and Hess Corporation from 2012 to May 2013.
