Biography

 Dr. Jutabha is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy in 1981 and the Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University in 1983. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois in 1987. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship training at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1990, and then joined the GI faculty at the Division of Digestive Diseases, UCLA School of Medicine. He is currently a Professor of Medicine at UCLA where he has served as the Director of International Affairs for the GI Division, the Associate Director of CURE Clinic, and as a member of the internationally renowned CURE Hemostasis Research Group. Dr. Jutabha is the Director of the UCLA Center for Small Bowel Diseases which he established in 2004 as the first center of its kind in the United States dedicated to research, education, and care of patients with various small intestinal disorders.

he is a certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and in the subspecialties of Gastroenterology/Hepatology. He holds memberships in numerous professional organizations, including the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Medical Association, Thai Physicians Association of American.
