A native of Birmingham, he received his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering (magna cum laude) from the University of Alabama in 1995. He graduated from The University of South Alabama Medical School in Mobile as a member of the AOA Honor Medical Society while under academic scholarship. His Dermatology residency was completed at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. There, Dr. Henderson developed a genuine passion for medical and surgical dermatology under world-renowned professors. His research has been published in Journal of American Academy of Dermatology among other prestigious academic journals. He and his wife have two children. Dr. Henderson has special interests in dermatologic manifestations of autoimmune and connective tissue diseases. As the founder of Shelby Dermatology, he strives to deliver the best diagnostic and management skills for all skin problems and diseases with a heart of compassion and understanding for his patients.
