In 1995, he was promoted to Professor of Microbiology. Randy Noelle, Ph.D. is Professor and Chair of Microbiology and Immunology, Dartmouth Medical School and Director of the Immunotherapy Center, as well as co-director of the Norris Cotton Cancer Center's Immunology and Cancer Immunotherapy Research Program.His laboratory has identified a novel membrane protein expressed on helper T lymphocytes (Th), CD154 and studies the regulation of peripheral tolerance.
