Led programs in basic nutrition research as well as applied research in the areas of chocolate and sugar confections, aseptically processed fruit and dairy based deserts, and beverages. Holds 4 patents, 2 provisional patent applications, and several internal achievement awards associated with project work at Hershey. Acquired additional research experience in the pharmaceutical industry and has worked in a leadership capacity in a variety of job situations including two years as Assistant Professor of Food Science at Penn State.
