Comm; LLB; Higher Diploma in Tax Law) and has over 15 years experience as a listed company director in Australia, including chair of two ASX 100 companies, Zinifex Limited and West Australian Newspapers Holdings Limited.  Amongst other directorships, Peter currently chairs Energy Resources of Australia Ltd and is a director of the Aurecon Group Pty Ltd. Peter has practiced as a corporate and resources lawyer in South Africa and Australia and was previously a partner at Freehills, including the Managing Partner for over 10 years, the National Chairman and the Partner responsible for the integration of the Freehills’ offices during the Freehills’ nationalisation in 2000.  Peter has significant, varied corporate experience as a director and lawyer both internationally and in Australia.
