Patrick Anderson is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Real Estate Advisory Services in London, focusing on providing strategic, financial and operational real estate advice to clients, including financial institutions. With more than 15 years of real estate experience including development, direct investment and operations, Mr. Anderson has substantial expertise in negotiating and structuring complex transactions, due diligence, financing, restructuring and performance improvement for real estate companies. His experience includes large scale development projects, retail, office, hotel and residential assets, as well as public private partnerships with local and national governments.At A&M, Mr. Anderson has fulfilled both independent advisory and interim management roles in the hotel, healthcare and financial services sectors. His engagements have involved more than $35 billion in real estate assets and credit exposures. Before A&M, Mr. Anderson spent more than four years with London & Regional Properties (LRP), one of the largest privately-held European real estate investors, where he served as director for international investments and development. There, he led the post-acquisition restructuring of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront Group in Cape Town, South Africa and helped establish the firm’s Panama office to redevelop a 2,000 hectare former US military base in Panama City, Panama. In 2007-08, Mr. Anderson acted as the interim Chief Operating Officer and LRP Shareholder Representative for the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront Group. During this time he oversaw the finance, legal and asset management divisions. Key accomplishments include decreasing working capital, identifying new revenue opportunities and improving internal business processes and leasing leading to significant increases in NOI over three years. He also raised over US$1 billion in debt finance for investments in the UK and South Africa.Previously, Mr. Anderson’s worked for a boutique real estate developer in the Southwestern US and an investment bank in London. During his time with those firms, he held asset management, project management and analyst level roles. Mr. Anderson earned an MBA from London Business School and a B.Sc. in economics from Arizona State University.
