She is active in training medical and graduate students and in research. Her research focuses on understanding mechanisms by which inflammation modulates sensitivity of the liver to toxic agents and on understanding mechanisms of drug-induced liver injury. She has authored over 120 research publications in the area of toxicology, and her work has been recognized by the Faculty of 1,000. She has served on the editorial board for Toxicological Sciences and is currently on the editorial boards for Toxicology, the Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health, and the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. She has reviewed grant applications for NIH and served as a consultant for the National Toxicology Program Office of the Report on Carcinogens.
Dr. Ganey has represented the interests of Toxicology by serving in the presidential chain for the Division of Toxicology of the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.
