Mr. Norman S. Gordon serves as General Manager/General Manager of Research and Development and Clinical Trial Manager of ArthroCare Corporation. Mr. Gordon is a biomedical Engineer with 30 years of diverse experience in the medical industry including research, development, manufacturing and clinical programs. He has managed remote R&D office, headed product development, help define future product portfolio for a company business unit. He served as Senior Director of Research and Development at ArthroCare Corp., where he managed remote R&D group, focusing on novel implants and surgical instruments primarily for orthopedic markets. From December 1999 to November 2004, he served as Vice President of Engineering for Opus Medical, Inc. and directed R&D effort built Intellectual Property portfolio for startup and sold to Arthrocare Corp. Mr. Gordon was a Co-Founder of Laurus Medical and served as its Vice President for R&D a laparoscopic specialty device company. From January 1992 to April 1998, he served as Vice President of Engineering at Laurus Medical Corporation. He also directed laparoscopic development at Applied Medical Resources and held engineering, regulatory affairs and quality assurance positions at Gish Biomedical. He served as Vice President of Product Development at Opus Medical, Inc. He serves as a Board Member at Credence MedSystems, Inc. Mr. Gordon holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Irvine from 1977 to 1980
