In 1975 graduated from the Higher Red Banner School of the Committee of State Security of the USSR, with thw specialization in Law; PhD 1975–2004 – USSR State Security Committee, subsequently RF Federal Security Service; 2004–2006 – Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service. 2006–2007 – Director for special assignments of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosoboronexport 2007 – present – Deputy CEO of Rostec
