Ms. Karim, a native of Erbil, has spent her professional life participating as an advisor on multiple industrial development projects in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. As the region’s economy shifted from the mining of various stones and minerals to the development of oil and gas resources, Ms. Karim, a qualified lawyer, advised senior management of a number of entities on strategic projects. Her unique knowledge of the local market, her understanding of the legal framework, and her pragmatic problem solving skills were essential to the industrial era that has emerged in the Kurdistan Region.   Ms. Karim concluded her legal studies at the University of Salah ad Din in Erbil after completing a technical certificate in civil engineering at the Erbil Technical Institute.
