Specializing in the treatment of patients with knee and sports related injuries, the Abu Dhabi Knee and Sports Medicine Centre ADKSMC was established in 2006 as part of the Mubadala Healthcare Division to bring world class healthcare to Abu Dhabi and the surrounding regions. Since there the center has achieved substantial operational success, works at full capacity and has performed over 7000 surgeries. The Center provides comprehensive patient care services, including sports medicine consultancy, advanced arthroscopic surgical knee and shoulder reconstruction, plus knee and hip joint replacement surgery.  One of the unique initiatives of the Centre is the establishment of a Tissue Bank. Currently, high quality, fresh-frozen bone and soft tissue grafts are only available in the USA and a few European countries. These grafts are invaluable in the treatment of patients with failed knee ligament surgery and patients requiring reconstruction of more than one knee ligament. It is our goal to safely and effectively treat our patients’ musculoskeletal problems and help all our orthopedic patients to achieve an active, pain-free lifestyle to their maximum capability. Osteoarthritis (the most common type of arthritis, where cartilage in your joints wears down over time), creates joint discomfort and sometimes severe pain. These symptoms and mobility can be treated at the center and also be surgically improved with total hip replacement and total knee replacement.  At ADKSMC, we have a fully equipped Physical Therapy area with highly experienced physical therapists. Our therapists emphasize personal one-on-one care and attention with each patient while working closely with our physicians.
