Michelle started her career in the manufacturing industry, transitioning into the water industry shortly thereafter where she firstly worked as an engineer and then took on more senior roles managing projects and teams. After around 8 years in water, she decided to make a change and worked as a management consultant, predominantly consulting to the infrastructure and government sectors in relation to strategy, business planning, team development, risk and governance. In 2013 she made the move back to the public sector, taking on a senior leadership role in local government, and she has continued to enjoy working in local government ever since.
