Tapan Kumar Sarkar serves as Head of regulatory affairs at Kampala Pharmaceutical Industries (1996) Ltd. Mr. Sarkar serves as Pharmacist, where he is in charge of Regulatory affairs and Drug registration at Kampala Pharmaceuticals. Previously, Mr. Sarkar served at Ranbaxy Ltd., Dewas plant (India) and Natco Pharmacy Inc. (Liberia, West Africa) before joining KPI in 1998. Mr. Sarkar has 18 years experience in Pharmaceutical quality assurance, regulatory affairs, new product development and drug registration. Mr. Sarkar is a Member of the Pharmaceutical Society (MPS) of Uganda and is also a registered Pharmacist in India and Liberia (West Africa). Mr. Sarkar holds a Post graduate Diploma in Management.
