Background: Morten Karlsen Sørby, born 1959, joined Telenor in 1993 and has served in a number of executive positions. In 2014, Sørby was CEO of Uninor, Telenor’s wholly owned operations in India and comes now from the position as acting CFO. He has previously served as the Executive Vice President in charge of corporate strategy and regulatory affairs in Telenor Group. Sørby was also the Executive Vice President and head of the Norwegian and Nordic mobile and fixed network operations of Telenor. Education: Sørby holds a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Karlstad. He has also completed additional education from IMD in Switzerland and is a state-authorized public accountant in Norway.
