Michael Grey joined our Board in December 2005 and serves as the Chair of the Compensation Committee. Mr. Grey currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Amplyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, a position he has held since October 2015, and as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Reneo Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, a position he has held since October 2014. He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Lumena Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a privately-held biotechnology company, from February 2011 until it was acquired by Shire plc in May 2014. He has also served as a Venture Partner with Pappas Ventures, a life sciences venture capital firm, since January 2010. Between January and September 2009, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Auspex Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a private biotechnology company. From January 2005 until its acquisition in August 2008, Mr. Grey was President and Chief Executive Officer of SGX Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a public biotechnology company, where he previously served as President from June 2003 to January 2005 and as Chief Business Officer from April 2001 until June 2003.
