Medeiros Paul joined Purdue Pharma as Senior Vice President, Corporate and Business Development, in September 2017. He is responsible for business development, acquisitions, due diligence, alliance management, and new venture investments at the company. Paul also serves as a member of Purdue’s Executive Committee. Bringing more than 25 years of business development and commercial biopharmaceutical experience, Paul joined Purdue Pharma from Mundipharma International, where he led business development strategy and execution, new therapeutic area commercial development, and corporate communications. He began his pharmaceutical career at Merck and Company, where he held positions in sales, new product planning and worldwide marketing. Paul later joined Schering-Plough where he led the international allergy business and held various positions of increasing responsibility in marketing and business development including Vice President, Global Licensing and Strategic Alliances. Before joining Mundipharma in 2011, he was the Senior Vice President of Business Development and Chief Business Officer at AVI BioPharma (now Sarepta Therapeutics).  Paul also sits on the Board of Directors of EDO Oncology.
