Mathieu oversees all cross-functional areas for Physio-Control in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He is responsible for helping customers expand their ability to provide lifesaving therapies and growing Physio’s share in emerging markets. Most recently, he led the effort to transition to standalone operations following Physio’s separation from Medtronic, including establishing new European headquarters. Mathieu joined Physio-Control in 1998, serving in a variety of product and strategic marketing roles before becoming the business manager for France. After a brief period in Medtronic’s Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management group, Mathieu rejoined Physio in 2008 to lead the Mediterranean and Benelux teams. Mathieu was named VP and GM, EMEA in 2012. He holds a master’s in business administration, international management from ESSEC and Mannheim Business Schools and a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from Université Claude Bernard.
