Martin completed his medical studies at the Medical University of Vienna. During his MD thesis, he investigated the efficiency of immunoadsorption for depletion of isoagglutinines in the setting of ABO incompatible kidney transplantation. After finishing medical school, he obtained clinical experience at the Department of Medicine 4 – Nephrology and Hypertension in Nuremberg (University of Erlangen). He continued his residency at the Division of Nephrology and Dialysis (Department of Medicine III, Medical University Vienna) as of 2014, where he also became a member of the VIETAC lab.
