Dr Martin, Head of the Pharmaceuticals Division of Bayer Austria Ges.mbH, has been the Managing Director of the Bayer Group's Austrian subsidiary since January 1, Hagenlocher, who has been with Bayer Austria since 1998 and initially as a business unit manager, played a decisive role in the successful restructuring of the healthcare sector. On October 1, 2009, he also took over the function of the South-Eastern European country councilor and is now also working alongside Austria for the countries of Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia   Hagenlocher is from Plochingen (Germany). He studied pharmacy at the University of Tübingen from 1976 to 1980 and subsequently promoted in pharmaceutical technology at the ETH in Zurich before taking up research activities in Switzerland and the USA. Since 1994 he lives and works in Austria. Before moving to Bayer, he was the managing director of the Austrian regional company of a French pharma company. Dr. Martin Hagenlocher is married and father of two children.
