He served as Group Supervisor, Manufacturing at the Stockton Street Factory in Richmond, Virginia. Since 1998 he served as Director of Primary Processing at the Cabarrus, North Carolina Manufacturing Centre and he served as a Director of Cigarette Manufacturing. He served as a Director, Business Planning, Philip Morris USA since 2000 and served as Vice President of Regional Sales since 2001. In 2003, he joined Philip Morris International and moved to Portugal and served as Managing Director, Philip Morris Tabaqueira SA. In April 2004, he moved to Beijing and served as Managing Director of Philip Morris (China) Management Co. Ltd., where he developed the business in the important Chinese market. He served as a Director of Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna tbk PT until February 6, 2009. Mr. King graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor's Degree in government and received a master's degree in business administration from Darden School, University of Virginia.
