Maria Plentl joined Galil Medical in 2008 as Director, Clinical Research. With over 15 years of experience in clinical research for medical device companies, her experience has been focused specifically in various ablation modalities for minimally invasive therapies. She has served as President, Carolina Clinical Consultants, Inc., Director of Clinical Research with Carolina Women’s Research and Wellness Center, and Sr. Vice President of Clinical Operations with Microsulis Medical, Limited. Ms. Plentl has proven experience with FDA collaborations, clinical trial planning and management, pre-market approvals, and development and implementation of physician training programs.

 Ms. Plentl holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. While employed in the medical device industry, she has continued to practice as a licensed Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, certified through the National Certification Corporation.
