Margareta began her career starting her own business. After a few years, she moved to the Hospitality and Facilities Management Industry, where she held various procurement, project lead and leadership positions. She supported many major corporations in Sweden, outsourcing their services and engineering functions. Margareta has held numerous senior management positions in those years and after. In 2006, Margareta accepted to join AstraZeneca as Head of Facilities Management for Sweden. In 2009 she moved to the UK as Head of Formulation and Packaging in the Global External Sourcing department. In 2011, she relocated to the US as Executive Director and General Manager for AstraZeneca's Newark manufacturing site in Delaware. In August 2013, she returned to Sweden Operations as Head of Sourcing and Supply and in April 2014 she was appointed as VP Sweden, Operations. Margareta is a member of AstraZeneca's EMEA Leadership Team and acts as Site Lead for AstraZeneca's Södertälje site. She is a Board member at the High School Mälardalens Tekniska Gymnasium, board member at IKEM (Innovation and Chemical Industries in Sweden) and board member at the Södertälje Science Park (a collaboration between Acturum, Scania, the Royal Institute of Technology and AstraZeneca). Margareta holds a degree in Business Management from the Institute of Management/Stockholm School of Economics and from the IHM Business School in Gothenburg. She studied Finance and Supply Chain at INSEAD and Finance at the Gothenburg University. In 2009, Margareta attended the Executive Leadership course 'Ruter Dam' in Sweden.
