Marco Stefan obtained his PhD in European Union Law from the University of Ferrara, Italy, in April 2015. His doctoral thesis consisted of a legal analysis of the Euro-Mediterranean relations, and in particular investigated cooperation the field of migration, border control, and asylum. His research interests span across the EU Home Affairs policies. Before his appointment at CEPS, Marco worked at the EU Commission, at the Italian Permanent Representation to the EU, and as a EU public policies consultant in London, where he focused on Home Affairs and Justice issues.
