Marcello is a young and ambitious Sales & Marketing professional, highly passionate about genetics. After living in Shanghai, China, as Business Development Manager for Shanghai GenePharma (an RNAi company), he spent three years within the HLA field as Marketing and Sales Manager for ROSE GenTec Ltd. For Omixon he is responsible for sales to direct customers, within the EMEA and Asian territories. Marcello received a BSc in Medical Biotechnology from the University of Naples "Federico II", and an MSc in Genetics, with full scholarship from the B.I.O.G.E.M. Research Centre University of Sannio. He is also currently taking part of the Executive MBA program at the University of West England. He received Bachelor of Science degree in 2006. Majored in Medical Biotechnology at the University Federico II of Naples in Italy. Undergraduate research project was regarding the tetracycline- controlled transcriptional activation and its applications in research. followed by Master of Science degree in Genetic sciences and technologies at the BIOGEM Genetic research center,Italy in 2009 and his Master research project concerning RNA interference and its applications for gene therapy.Currently attending the Executive MBA program at the University of West England in Bristol, United Kingdom. Achieved the academic IELTS certification in 2010 and in 2013. Worked for Shanghai GenePharma with a challenging job opportunity to build up the international business experience with strong scientific background. Later on he spent 3 years working for R.O.S.E. Europe GmbH which allowed my persona to step in the challenging European HLA Typing market. As next challenge in my life I am currently working for Omixon Biocomputing Solution, a global biotech firm specialized in targeted application for Next Generation Sequencing with a special emphasis on the HLA gene.
