Manuel Fischer-Bothof was born on 3 January 1960 in Wiesbaden. He spent his childhood and schooling in Wiesbaden until he studied economics in Mainz and Frankfurt after the Abitur and the Bundeswehr. After completing his studies, he worked for several years in Munich.After a long stay in Australia, New Zealand and the South Seas. At the end of 1992, he began his business as managing director of a chemical trading company in Wiesbaden. This activity was regularly interrupted by hikes in Central Europe, Scandinavia and South America. Parts of the poems were produced during these foreign stays.
