Biography

Mahony Edward began his career at Purdue Pharma in 1993 as Chief Financial Officer, with responsibility for all fiscal, procurement and information technology departments. He serves on a number of leadership committees including Purdue’s Executive Committee, the Commercial Product Portfolio Committee, the Business Development Committee, and the Compliance Committee. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Norwalk Hospital. Mr. Mahony joined Purdue after 15 years with Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in finance for the International Pharmaceutical Group and later as Vice President and Controller of the U.S. Consumer Products Division. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting at Manhattan College and a Master’s of Business Administration in Finance at New York University. He became a Certified Public Accountant in New York in 1977 and began his career in various audit capacities at Price Waterhouse and later at Touche Ross & Company.
