Luigi is a highly experienced pharmaceutical and biotech professional with over 20 years experience in both local and global roles in Finance, Manufacturing, Commercial, Marketing and Management. He has a strong background in the Finance & Controlling Area, having spent most of the last 20 years managing financial performances & business optimization. Luigi has a deep understanding of the financial aspects of the Reproductive Health Therapeutic Area. He graduated in 1991 in Demographic and Economical Statistic Sciences and started his career as Plant Performance Control & Total Quality Manager at Industria Farmaceutica Serono Italy then he took the financial responsibility of a Serono pharmaceutical production site in Rome and in parallel obtained an executive MBA in Finance and controlling. In 2001 he moved to Switzerland where he took the position of World Wide manufacturing financial controller. In this position he gained invaluable experience in the importance of cost optimization and performance improvements. Due to the results obtained, he then also took over the financial responsibility of Clinical development, Regulatory affairs and all the external collaborations functions. When Serono was acquired by Merck, Luigi contributed to the integration of the financial systems of the 2 companies and in parallel was promoted to the position of Head of Business Performance & Strategy – Commercial Europe where he leveraged the importance of understanding the needs of patients, nurses and healthcare professionals and developing and commercializing pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and devices as well as new distribution channels. He concluded his career in Merck Serono as Senior Director Strategy development and Business performance / Distribution & Trade – Global Business unit NDD & Rheumatology where he had the opportunity to work in the Pharma markets outside EU. Following Merck Serono Luigi was COO of Voisins Consulting where he developed the company strategy and defined the financial long range plan and a management tool for implementation. He joined Finox Biotech in 2014 as CFO, responsible for developing the financial strategy and supporting the implementation of pricing and commercial operations. Luigi is married and has 2 children.
