She has led a discovery team targeting the innate immunity signal transduction pathways involved in the production of inflammatory mediators contributing to the pathogenesis of diseases. These projects include developments of small molecule kinase inhibitors and biologics targeting innate receptors and cytokines, leading to the discovery of clinical candidates in treating autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis
