Klaus Nickisch completed his studies at the Technical University Berlin with a Ph.D. in organic chemistry. He enjoyed more than 28 years of experience with Schering AG in a wide range of positions before the acquisition of Schering by Bayer. He then joined the business unit Specialized Therapeutics at Berlex as head of project and portfolio management and was promoted to the head of global project management.
Klaus Nickisch worked on various steroid research projects for five years. He then moved into project management and led numerous projects in oncology and female health.
