Kem Boutsamay is a pharmacist. He graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Health Sciences of Laos in 2016 with a specialisation in pharmaceutical sciences. He conducted a research project at Khon kaen University (Thailand) on the contamination of cosmetic products by heavy metal as part of his final research university project. He joined training programs abroad such as the Sakura Science Program in Japan. He did internships in a Pharmaceutical Factory in Vientiane, Laos, at the Food and Drug Quality Control Center (FDQCC) and at the Medicinal Plant Center of Vientiane, Laos. He joined IDDO after his graduation, as a research assistant in the medicine quality team.
Kem Boutsamay has broad interests in the Infectious Diseases and Cell Biology.. His research thus far has focused on Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology.
