Biography

Julie Brooks, PhD, is a Post-Doctoral Fellow within Pfizer’s Neuroscience Research Unit. Julie Brooks received her PhD from The Ohio State University where she examined how early developmental perturbations of the corticolimbic system alter the functional maturation of the cortex and contribute to cognitive deficits seen in schizophrenia.

Research Intrest

Julie Brooks has broad interest on optogenetic assessment of information integration in the ventral striatum. This work contributes towards an understanding of the brain circuitry underlying deficits in cognition associated with a variety of neurological disorders.
