As Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Planning, Mr. Cvetas helps set overall growth strategies and goals for Southland. Leading the company’s mergers and acquisitions approach, he is responsible for identifying opportunities for entry into new markets and products, the formation of strategic partnerships, and the acquisition of other companies. With over 30 years in the MEP industry, Mr. Cvetas has considerable experience optimizing building systems for a variety of markets and industries. He is also responsible for providing business leadership and oversight for Southland Energy, a division of Southland, and Envise, a wholly owned subsidiary of Southland. Upon joining Southland in 1987 as a contract executive, Mr. Cvetas concentrated on advanced technology initiatives at Southland. By introducing the company to advanced technology sectors including the aerospace, semiconductor, and pharmaceutical industries, he was ultimately able to expand Southland's market reach, as well as portfolio. Additionally, Mr. Cvetas played a significant role in establishing Southland’s regional offices in the nation's capital, as well as San Jose, California. Throughout the many roles he has held at Southland, he has been involved in several of Southland's most iconic projects such as the historic renovation of the Pentagon. Mr. Cvetas received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and is currently Treasurer of the Design-Build Institute of America's Western Pacific Region (DBIAWPR). He has served on Southland's Board of Directors since 1990.
