Ms. Joanne Elizabeth Estell has been Chief Financial Officer of Shield Therapeutics plc since May 1, 2017. Ms. Estell served as the Chief Financial Officer of Stadium Group plc from March 18, 2016 to October 2016 and served as its Company Secretary until October 2016 and served as its Finance Director since September 26, 2012 until March 18, 2016. She has more than 20 years' experience in senior finance, strategy and M&A positions. Ms. Estell is a Chartered Management Accountant and joined Stadium from Survitec Group Ltd. She began her career in 1996 with hotel and restaurant group Whitbread Plc, qualifying in 1997 and developing disciplines in financial controls and business systems across a number of areas in the business during a period of considerable growth. In 2001, Ms. Estell left Whitbread and joined Smiths Group Plc as Assistant Financial Controller within its Sealing Solutions Division. From 2001 to 2011, she served as Finance Director of Specialised Businesses for John Crane Global Specialised Business division, the mechanical seals division of Smiths from 2008 to 2011, that she led the acquisition process of Orion Corporation in the US and where she was responsible for providing a commercially focused finance function and the successful integration of three newly acquired businesses. Ms. Estell serves as Executive Director at Stadium Power Limited. She has been a Director of Shield Therapeutics plc since May 1, 2017. She served as a Director of Stadium Group plc from September 26, 2012 to October 2016. She is a Chartered Management Accountant.
