Jim undertook a Nuffield scholarship in 2010, visiting countries including USA, China, Australia and New Zealand to research the key attributes of enterprising rural businesses. Jim also sits on the Scottish Advisory Board of the NFU Mutual and is a board member of Dairy Co.
