Dr. James Thimons, OD, FAAO serves as Member of Clinical Advisory Board at TearLab Corporation. Dr. Thimons served as Executive Director of TLC from 1998 to 2002. He co-founded Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut in 2002 and founded the National Glaucoma Society in 2002. He serves in professorial appointments at several universities in the US and has been a clinical investigator in over 20 NIH, NEI and Post Release Clinical Trials. Dr. Thimons has received numerous awards for his service to the profession and has over two hundred publications in the area of ocular disease management. Dr. Thimons is a graduate of Ohio State University College of Optometry. He completed his hospital residency at the Chillicothe, VA Medical Center.
