James Bach is a Senior Director bringing more than 15 years of experience in helping companies of all sizes to use data-driven insights to improve operations, sales forecasting, inventory management, work force management and customer experience.Among his recent engagements, Mr. Bach served as project architect and team lead to deliver a revenue enhancement dashboard joining Google analytics, sales data and competitor data. This integrated view enabled the client’s marketing and sales vice presidents to make critical timely decisions based on real-time data. The project included an analysis of location and volume of new sales, sales by product type and demographics of new customers, and provided an automated and streamlined process to measure and communicate success.As project lead for a supply chain / logistics consolidation for a major retail client, Mr. Bach minimized retail store deliveries / cost through store visits, historical analysis of volumes, request for proposal (RFP) development, supplier assessment, down selection and execution of term sheets. Mr. Bach was also the project architect and lead for the development and implementation of a forecasting solution for optimizing contact center operations and staffing with a major health insurance provider in California. The project resulted in a 13 percent reduction in contact center costs.Additionally, Mr. Bach was the architect and lead for an engagement driving the identification and implementation of operations improvement opportunities to maximize customer satisfaction. The solution entailed regression analysis of customer satisfaction data to identify weaknesses in the delivery of services. The project resulted in an improvement in satisfaction with a cost avoidance of $10 million.Mr. Bach also served as the project lead for a retail store food waste reduction initiative that included store observations, management interviews, inventory and sales data, and automated ordering tool development / optimization. The project resulted in a $1 million reduction of food waste annually.Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Bach was President and Founder of LightSpeed Consulting and a project manager and engineer for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.Mr. Bach earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in aerospace engineering from California Polytechnic State University.
