Jacques has over twenty six years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, where he has held senior positions in medical and clinical development. He joined AM-Pharma in February 2008. Prior to AM-Pharma, Jacques was at Grünenthal, followed by a Medical Director’s position for Kendle’s Phase I 50-bed Clinical Pharmacology Unit, Utrecht (NL). Previously, he was the local Medical Director at Novo Nordisk (NL) where he held three international positions as Director of Medical, Regulatory and Quality based in Austria, Greece and Switzerland, respectively. In these positions, he was responsible for the largest geographical region in Novo Nordisk and set up clinical studies throughout numerous regions in Europe, South Africa, Middle East, Russia and Asia. Formerly, Jacques was the International Co-ordinator for clinical development at Yamanouchi Pharma’s European office. He started his pharmaceutical career at SmithKline Beecham. Previously, Jacques was a clinical research physician at the University Hospital Leiden and also held a Senior House Office position in Surgery. Jacques holds a MD from the University of Leiden (NL) and Diploma in Medicines Development from University of Basel (CH).
