Biography

Jacek Jaworski is a leader of Molecular and Cellular Neurobiology research group at International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IIMCB) in Warsaw, Poland. After receiving his Ph.D. in Molecular Neurobiology, 2001 from Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland, He went on to do Postdoctoral research fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Cambridge, MA, USA from 2002-2005.

Research Intrest

Jacek Jaworski has broad interests on the role of protein kinase mammalian Target of Rapamycin (mTOR) in the control of proper neuronal morphology in health and disease. Establishing proper neuronal morphology is required for proper brain function.
