Dr. Michael J. Pontecorvo Ph.D., has been Vice President of Clinical Development at Avid Radiopharmaceuticals, Inc. since June 1, 2006. Dr. Pontecorvo is a recognized expert in Alzheimer''s disease and has 25 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in CNS research and clinical development, including directing the development of the Alzheimer''s therapy Reminyl(R) (now Razadyne(R)). Dr. Pontecorvo served as Vice President of Clinical Research at Dov Pharmaceuticals, where he led worldwide clinical programs for a number of novel CNS therapies. He served as Vice President of Clinical Development at Mitsubishi Pharma America. Dr. Pontecorvo held increasingly responsible positions in clinical development, as a project leader at Janssen Pharmaceutica.
