Biography

J. Goldstein graduated with honors and distinction from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences in 2003. He received his medical degree from the SUNY Downstate College of Medicine (Brooklyn, NY) in 2007 and completed his general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center. During his orthopaedic training, Dr. Goldstein was awarded the North Shore-LIJ Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Resident of the Year Award in 2010 and the Jodi Fisher Memorial Excellence in Orthopaedic Research Award in 2011. Following his residency, Dr. Goldstein was selected for a fellowship in spinal surgery at the San Diego Center for Spinal Disorders and Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California.
