Istvan Honics is an investment director of OTP fund. He graduated from the Budapest University of Economic Sciences in 1996, and expanded his theoretical knowledge at Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien. In 1999, he obtained the EFFAS investment analyst diploma and then in 2010 CFA certification. Between 2010 and 2013 he was a member of the Board of Directors of CFA Hungary. He worked for Creditanstalt Investment Fund Manager for a short time, and since 1996 worked as an associate of OTP Fund Management Zrt. His name is the launch of the first equity fund in Hungary, the establishment of the OTP Fund Management's stock-exchange business, and the creation of the BUX ETF, which is the BSE Innovation Award. He was a petitioner for the CETOP20 share index, which was already widely used to date. The OTP New Europe Fund, which has been co-operating with its colleagues, won the Award for the Year of the Best EUR Absolute Fund in 2016.
