"Ir Prof Andros Chan holds a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Newcastle upon Tyne. a MBA degree from Bradford University in UK and DBA from Macquarie University in Australia. Prof Chan is the Fellow of Hong Kong Institute of Engineers (HKIE). He is the Vice-Chairman of HKMHDIA (2008-2012) and was the Council Member (2008-2010) of HKIE. He serves as panel member in Discipline Advisory Panel of Bio-Medical Engineering in HKIE. Prof Chan also serves as panel member of Technology Review Panel (Bio-medical Electronics KTI) of the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (2012-2014). He established Pharos Medical Device Ltd in 2005 to manufacture devices and focuses on Medical Lighting and Medical Optics, which comply with FDA and Medical Device Directives of CE. The site is complied with ISO13485 and certified by the SFDA as Medical Device Manufacturer in 2006."
