Mr Freelance joined the DSM Corporate Venturing unit in 2007. Prior to that, he held various business development and general management positions within the pharmaceutical industry over a period of 15 years. In his last position, he was leading an internal DSM start-up, producing early phase clinical material for both large pharma and biotech start-ups in the U.S. and Europe. He serves on the boards of Novomer, SkySails, BioProcess Control, CellMade in addition to a number of observer positions. He holds an MSc in Chemistry from Sheffield University in the U.K.
