Hélder received his PhD in Biotechnology (2009) from University of Minho (PT) and University of Cambridge (UK). His project was in the field of DNA downstream processing, having published several papers in this field.Prior to working at Heartgenetics, Hélder worked in 3D microarray technology at Instituto Superior Técnico (PT) and at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (USA).Helder holds The Lisbon MBA (2013) and he was awarded several prizes, including the Malcolm Lilly Award (2012), attributed by the European Society of Biochemical Engineering Sciences to a promising young scientist working in the field of bioengineering.
