Harvey is originally from New York and has practiced orthopaedics in Houston since 1991.His private practice of orthopaedic surgery includes a special interest in sports medicine, and in surgery of the knee and shoulder. He is a Team Physician for the US Ski Team. He is the former Director of St. Joseph Sports Medicine Center, and the former Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at St. Joseph Hospital and Kingwood Medical Center
