In 2005 I moved to England to work and travel for two years. There I worked as a short term locum physiotherapist for a further two years, gaining experience primarily in community based rehabilitation for patients who had recently returned home from hospital. During this time I also spent an invaluable four months at Beaumont Collage doing work as Pediatric Neurological physiotherapist. When I returnedto New Zealand, I branched out into the fields of occupational health completing workplace assessments and rehabilitation for clients who had suffered serious injuries and required significant amounts of time off work as a result. Much of the rehabilitation was carried out in either gyms, pools or at the clients home depending on the situation.
