Malaysian Citizen, born in 1962. Hamzah bin Mahmood has been a Commissioner since May 2016. He started his career at HSBC Malaysia as Residence Officer and Officer In Charge during 1986-1988, followed by joining Group Treasury at HSBC London in 1988. He then joined the Treasury Department of Saudi British Bank (a subsidiary of HSBC Bank), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with the last position as Head of Saudi Riyal (SAR) in 1989-1994. He subsequently assumed several positions as Assistant Vice President (AVP) at Kidder, Peabody & Co AG, PaineWebber International (S) Pte Ltd., Singapore (1994-1995); Associate Director (1995-1996) and Dealing Director (1997-2001) at Kenanga Deutsche Futures Sdn Bhd; Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Maybank Securities Sdn Bhd (2001-2005); Executive Director at Halifax Capital Berhad (2005-2008); Director at Park Residence Development Sdn Bhd (2008-2014); and Senior Vice President at TA Enterprise Bhd (2010-2014). He now assume his role as Founder & CEO at Kini Murni Development Sdn Bhd since 2003; Co-founder & Group Executive Director at Prominent Harmony Sdn Bhd since 2015
