Biography

During her more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Daniela Gruber has acquired a significant level of expertise that is particularly valuable for her current position at AOP Orphan. Following a language degree and a course in export marketing at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, as well as a few years in the film and TV business, Ms. Gruber gained her first experience in pharmaceutical field services in France at Laboratoires Sarget, Bordeaux. In 1994, she joined Merck Darmstadt in Vienna, where she was at first responsible for cardiovascular product management in Austria. Two years later she moved to the head office in Darmstadt while remaining loyal to the area of responsibility. In 1999 she went to Hamburg and Glaxo Wellcome, where she was also initially responsible for the cardiovascular division. At GlaxoSmithKline in Munich, she assumed responsibility as Group Product Manager Urology/CNS/Dermatology/Osteoporosis.  She then held positions at Sanofi-Aventis in Berlin as Director Marketing New Products, at Ferring Arzneimittel in Kiel at Business Unit Director Gynecology and Obstetrics, and finally at ImClone in Heidelberg before joining AOP Orphan in 2010.
