Dr. Vance brings her experience as pathologist, clinician, laboratory director, and educator to the CAP Foundation board. Currently, she directs the Diagnostic Genomics laboratories of the Indiana University School of Medicine’s Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics, as well as the department’s Medical Genetics clinical program. She has previously worked with the CAP Foundation, serving as board liaison from 2010 to 2012, and is extremely active within CAP as a whole. She served on the CAP Board of Governors from 2005-2012, has served on numerous committees and advisory groups within the CAP, and has been a CAP laboratory inspector for over 15 years.
